Foam Fire Extinguishers FAQs

Foam extinguishers are not designed for electrical fires. Many are dielectrically tested to reduce risk if used near electrics by mistake, but a CO2 extinguisher is the correct choice for live equipment.

Foam extinguishers tackle Class A fires involving materials like wood and paper, and Class B fires involving flammable liquids. They are widely used in offices, shops, and warehouses.
